19-Year-Old Girl Dies in Suspected Suicide Case in Doda

A pall of grief descended over the Gundna area of Doda district after a 19-year-old girl was reportedly found dead in an alleged suicide case, leaving family members and local residents in deep shock.


The deceased has been identified as Neha Devi, daughter of Sulinder Kumar, a resident of Bhalwana village in Tehsil Mohalla, Block Gundna of District Doda.


According to initial reports, the incident came to light after the young girl was found under circumstances suspected to be linked to suicide. Soon after receiving information about the incident, local police rushed to the spot and initiated legal proceedings.


The body of the deceased was later shifted to Thathri Hospital, where a postmortem examination was conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death. Officials stated that the necessary medico-legal formalities have been completed.


Police have taken cognizance of the matter and started an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic incident. Authorities said that all possible angles are being examined as part of the ongoing probe. However, the exact reason behind the alleged suicide has not yet been officially confirmed.


The incident has sparked shock and sorrow in the locality, with residents expressing grief over the untimely death of the young girl. Several people from the area visited the bereaved family to offer condolences and support during the difficult time.
