Doda, November 2:

In a major action against corruption, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday evening caught a Jammu and Kashmir Police Head Constable, identified as Bishan Kumar, red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹70,000 near Police Station Doda.

According to reliable sources, the ACB team received a complaint regarding the alleged demand for money by the officer. Acting swiftly, the Bureau laid a trap near the police station, leading to the officer’s immediate apprehension during the cash transaction.

On Sunday morning, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., the ACB conducted a search operation at the accused officer’s rented accommodation in Tondwah, Doda, where several documents and materials believed to be linked to the case were seized. These items have been taken into custody for further examination.

The accused was subsequently detained, and an investigation into the matter is currently underway.
